The love connection or romance scam occurs when a stranger deceives you about their romantic intentions; they gain the affection of their marked victim, and then use the victims trust and goodwill to gain access to their money, bank accounts, credit cards, passports, email accounts, and the list goes on and on; or by getting the victims to commit financial fraud on their behalf, remember these are very persistent and somewhat cleaver people, once you fall for this you will be an easy target marked for other scammers to latch on to and it is you that could end up facing criminal charges of fraud.

Scammers can be found all around the world, however the majority of scammers are located in Africa particularly West Africa; Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire; and also Russia and Ukraine.
